About PENS Publishing

We're a small press with a unique business model: we print books but nobody buys them so we give them away to disinterested family members for Christmases and birthdays. Admittedly, the business model needs a little work.

What is Google Sketchup?

Google SketchUp is a 3D modeling program designed for architects, civil engineers, filmmakers, game developers, and hobby woodworkers like me. In addition to being a full-featured 3D CAD program, it also includes features allowing the user to place models in Google Earth. It was designed to be more intuitive, flexible, and easier to use than other 3D CAD programs.

You know, with Autodesk Inventor Suite software currently starting at $1500CAD per seat per year, (shame on you Autodesk) and with no way around that price short of stealing it, I find this small, fast, and easy-to-use software very welcome and long overdue.

Again I say, who cares if Google takes over the world, as long as it's free!
